Approach
My practice style reflects my enjoyment in connecting with people in a meaningful, respectful way. I am active and responsive in the therapy session, exploring with clients the circumstances that brought them where they are, and, through questions, coaching and sometimes gentle challenging, help them find the answers and directions that restore them onto their personal path of wellness and life satisfaction. My work typically incorporates systems theory and cognitive behavioral techniques in a solution focused approach. However, as each person, couple, or family I meet with is different, my approach is dictated by their personal goals, complexity of the issues, and readiness for change. I encourage clients to ask questions about their therapy, and take responsibility for making full use of the collaborative process.
