Bio
Margaret Goger is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker, and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, in private practice in Wichita, Kansas. She specializes in treating individuals and couples' sexual concerns, relationship issues and addictions, in addition to years helping people with stress, life transitions, depression and anxiety disorders. Margaret's workshops have been praised by participants for providing new ideas and real results. She is also available for presentations to organizations and businesses on subjects varying from stress management, ADHD in relationships and families, addictions, dealing with change, and improving relationships.
Margaret Goger is a recurring guest and the consulting therapist for Jan and Phil 104.5 FM The Fox with hosts Jan Harrison and Phil Thompson. She has been featured on local news and quoted in national magazines (Smart Money) providing as a professional expert on issues from parenting to sex in the media.
Margaret Goger has worked in mental health since 1989, at Prairie View, Inc. and at the Veteran's Administration Hospital substance abuse treatment program. She earned her MSW from University of Kansas School of Social Welfare where she was awarded the 1995 Margo Schultz Gordon Award for Outstanding Practicum. Her BSW is from Wichita State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
She is a member of the American Association of Sex Educators Counselors and Therapist (AASECT), the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Margaret Goger was recently honored with the Outstanding Alumni Award at the 2009 Wichita State University School of Social Work Annual Power Conference.
